Meet Jen Zung

I am honored to have been elected to the Teton County Wyoming District 1 School Board of Trustees because I strongly believe that a high-quality public education system is key to creating a society that is productive, engaged, and compassionate. In my roles as a civil engineer, business owner, and mother, I have become a strong leader and active listener. These experiences in my professional and personal life have taught me the value and importance of hearing and considering all voices, a strength I will take to the school board to help make hard decisions that are best for our kids, teachers, and community.

Raised in rural Missouri and educated in the public-school system, I have a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an M.S. in Hydrologic Science and Engineering. I am the founding principal of Harmony Design & Engineering, which focuses on environmentally-sensitive engineering and planning solutions. I own Harmony with my husband, Randy Blough, and we have been in business in the Teton region for more than 15 years.

I have a history of serving the community and believe that service to others gives life meaning and purpose. I served as a Peace Corps volunteer in the Philippines from 2001-2003. While living in the Tetons, I was the past chair of both the Downtown Driggs Association and Teton Valley Community Recycling. I am currently an active Parent-Teacher Association volunteer. I live in Alta, Wyoming, with my husband, Randy, and our son, Dalton, who is a 3rd grader in the Teton County Wyoming School District.

Like most who chose this area to be their home, I also love to mountain bike, Nordic ski, downhill ski, and be in the great outdoors.
